If you rotate your dog’s food periodically PetUtopia wants to expand our pet food selection to let you more choices.  I would appreciate it if you join in a conversation about which brands and flavors of foods to bring in next.   Before I bring anything into the shop I research it as thoroughly love I can.

I’ve been researching grain free dry dog foods recently.  I would love to have your feedback and suggestions regarding what I’ve found and what YOU have found!    Together we can select the best fit in foods for your dog! 

Once we have decided the best dry grain free dog food we’ll move on through the rest of the dog foods and then on to dry adn canned cat foods! 

Here’s my most recent list of grain free dry dog foods. Click on the trademark of food to check out what the manufacturer has to say about their food.

Acana Pet Foods:
From the same manufacturer of Orijen.  Slightly lower in protein and less expensive.  We currently have the Fish flavor and would like to expand into Wild Prairie and Grasslands flavors.

EVO Weight Management: Extremely high in protein and low in fat and carbs this might not be the best food for every dog.  I would recommend it for large breed grown-up dogs only due to the high protein and calcium content.  The fat is Herring oil which supplies both Omega 3 & 6.  I will have samples of this on Monday.

First Mate:
 Lower in protein than EVO and Orijen First Mate would be a good alternative for rotating foods. Just a note: the first ingredient is potato not meat. It does include chicken fat in the grain free flavors.  However the chicken fat used in First Mate pet foods is processed free of protein eliminating the risk of allergies derived from chicken.  Flavor choices would be Austrailian Lamb Chicken with Blueberries and Pacific Ocean Fish. I have samples now if you would like to try one or more of the flavors.

Great Life Pet Foods:
This food looks phenomenal! Almost as well good to be true!  I’ll keep digging except I truly like what I see so far! Flavor choices are Buffalo Chicken and New Zealand Lamb.

ROTATIONS:
Totally new conception in dry dog food. Every box of ROTATIONS Pet Food contains 3 segregate bags of 3 different flavors each with a different formula derived from meat-first lean protein. They make it easy for you to rotate your dog’s food quickly and safely.  I don’t have much info on this brand yet so I am serene researching it.  Since all 3 flavors are boxed together our choices would be Adult Puppy and Senior. I’m hoping to have the Rep come in and do some sampling!  I’ll let you understand when we get that visit scheduled.
