Okay our new puppy Dixie Loo - not an APBT she is a mini schnauzer cross she is about 9 and a half weeks. She already knows sit someone had to job with her then again it's not as well hard to teach sit. Is she too young to study high five/shake? Pardon my silly question.
Does anyone's dogs understand how to shake? If so do you have any tips to help my no attention span of a pup? I know you have to be patient and I am. She isn't very interested in treats perhaps if I hold the kitten she will do it? I'm kidding of course. :p
That is who is distracting her. I just have never taught a dog "shake"/"high five" before and I just want her to learn it. If she doesn't that's fine except she's VERY smart. :) I know there are more important things to teach her and we will. She already has a good recall. Thanks in progress for your help.
ETA - Of course I won't be teaching her until she settles in more. We only adopted her Thursday but I will start once she settles in. :)
