The folks at Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida share the story of Tater a 3-year-old fox red dudley (brownish-pinkish nose and eyeliner) straight from the canine’s mouth:
I weigh in round 90 pounds and I need to get some more weight. My owners dropped me off at the shelter . . . how could they not love me enough to keep me?
I am excellent with children of all ages including the 7-week-old one in my foster home.
I had what they call entropian eyes. That means my eyelashes for all my life have been growing inward and keeping my eyes irritated. I feel so much better now that Lab Rescue has corrected this. I also have heartworms and will begin my treatment shortly.
I love to ride in the car and go on walks. I am home trained and truly don’t need to be crated.
I am good with other dogs except cats are unknown like I’m not living with any. The ones I met at the vet for a concise second didn’t seem to trouble me though. I am a very loving boy who wants to snuggle and cuddle and be loved on for the rest of my life. Can you do that for me?
