The Casper Humane Society (CHS) will be open for the first time on Jan. 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to congratulate the first “baby” of the New Year. Gift baskets will be given to the person with the first approved request for adoption of a cat or kitten and one for a dog or puppy.
